On Saturday, December 13th, at 11:00 a.m., on the eve of the anniversary of the "Battle of the Bulge," and the deadliest winter ever faced by American forces during World War II, Congressman Steve Israel will ask veterans of that battle to step forward and be recognized at the American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport, 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale. He will be joined by historian, author and former Long Island Congressman Robert Mrazek who will speak about American courage in the face of hopeless odds during World War II, whether it was in the Pacific or Europe.

American Airpower Museum Vice President Jim Vocell said the museum is making a special appeal to all those who fought in the battle to join them in the museum's historic hangar on the morning of December 13th. Surrounded by warbirds similar to the American fighters, bombers and transport planes that provided the infantry with the support needed to break the back of the Nazi attack, Congressman Israel and former Congressman Mrazek will focus on the individual acts of courage that have defended our liberties.
For anyone interesting in attending, this will be a free event, and they now have HEAT in the hangar!

My Young Friend,

Not to go off topic, but concentrate on the ACT, SAT, and all the tests--they are crucial to your future education.

My daughter took SAT courses to help and raised her score over 400 points.

She's now a freshman at Georgetown University.

I wish you the best for your testing......

That said,

About the program today--wish I had seen this sooner--would have been there to shoot.

Note for Fred and Moose--want to establish more solid relationship with museum--let's talk.

She is lucky, I took the junky reviews at my school and didn't go up by much. I'm aimin for Boston U or some of the SUNY's. But best of luck to her at Georgetown its an excellent school.

On a happier note; Moose how was it today? Any shots ya care to share?
