Not that anyone noticed but Primaris Airlines has shut down. They went under on Dec 2, all planes back to the leasing company. If you’re not familiar with who they were, they operated under the name Constellation as well.

Here's some shots of them (shameless self gloss)

Wow - they were also the first North American airline to buy the 787 as well - oh well - another one bites the dust!

SO, how about hooking a bruther up!

I couldn't find anything either, only a story from October about them filing for Chapter 11 and selling 70% of the company to an oil exploration firm.

Tommy send me a message that there is something on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primaris_Airlines, but, can't confirm as nobody is covering it....

Hmm, I've been doing some research and found some very strange stuff regarding their bankruptcy plan. Not to say Primaris wasn't quite bizarre all along with their "Constellation" alter ego and their 787 order and cancellation. At risk of getting sued and/or assassinated, I'm going to do more research before I elaborate. :)

As for the Wikipedia thing, one possible explanation is it was updated by a Primaris employee and the company just hasn't made any official announcement yet, hence the lack of media coverage. Being a small charter operation it wouldn't raise many eyebrows if their planes were sitting around for a couple days.

did Primaris operate just the two 757s? shame they're gone, i love the scheme on 741.

Matt, they were down to one plane in the end I believe, but they had three into JFK not too long ago - Tommy put up all three schemes in the opening post... N740PAN, N741PA & N742PA.

I have to agree with you on 741; for me that's one of the best schemes ever applied to a 757 - in the top three at least. Last I saw an image of it, it had titles - Air Peru maybe? I forget. Never did get a shot of that last scheme on 742 though...

I guess their demise was inevitable. .. more to come probably.
