Why land at EWR? I would think JFK is more preferable because of its longer runway and less traffic, at least compared to EWR. I notice EWR is a favorite stop over point for a few other odd balls such as Ethiopian 737 deliveries, biz jets and so on...

Nice catch, Bill. I believe it was flying to CMN and then onto Saudia Arabia, quite a weird routing!

Thanks guys, I was glad to finally catch the SP since is does come fairly often. Always when I wasn't able to make it out.

I guess an 11,000 foot runway isn't enough? It's not the space shuttle we're talking about here and I believe JFK was busier traffic wise then EWR in 2007. But thats irrelavant. Likely comes to EWR since they have Signature flight services and is closer to Manahattan. The Port Authority handles most GA and non airline traffic at Kennedy I believe.

when you've got money to burn i guess it's no problem to pay signature. and yes, JFK's GAT is run by the PANYNJ. also, i'm pretty sure that EWR has more ramp space than the GAT at JFK.

Hi,

I was at the north end of Terminal A that day from 3:30PM until dark. I regularly spot quite openly there with no problem. If you see me say "Hello" and I would be very interested to know where you shot that departure. You had quite some height there.

Cheers,

DennyB

also with the GAT at jfk, there is no line service to help you out, customs takes forever and if you need fuel its a longer wait. So sometimes people would rather pay the $$ and get all the amenities, then have to sit and wait. Hence why FRG is so heavy, its only a 20 min drive so by the time they get to the airport for another flight from here, they may just be getting customs to check them in or a taxi to get them to the terminals.
