My first LGA outing (with a camera) in a long while. Man, it was good to be back! I took post at the overpass overlooking rwy 13 deps. The light was a little harsh and it was hot, but oh well. I'm still getting used to aviation photography again, and I'm feeling it out.

I was out for about 90 minutes or so. Here are a few.

That's not Phil Derner out spotting, is it? I was beginning to think you were like the former owner of a well-known aviation photography site - you know, insisting on outrageously high standards from others, yet never actually taking any photographs himself. :D

Nice work Phil! Glad you had a chance to get out today.

Nice work Phil! Glad you had a chance to get out today.Hey be easy on the guy Moose! He toughed it out with us Sunday at Le Moundz, in the clear and present danger of the infamoos spotter tick! Nice bunch Phil, next time iffin you'd like some spotting company, let your finger do some walking!

Way to get back into the game, Phil!

(Maybe I'll actually make it out again one of these days...although I'm still editing from May...)

September 1, 2007. The day I ripped my hand open while spotting.

Thanks, guys. I finished up some stuff that afternoon and was sittin there wondering what to do. I had my camera out and I realized that I could be at the overpass in 5 minutes. A good time. Glad to be back. :)

haha. I've been laughing at this for days actually. I'm shocked I haven't been out more lately myself. :) I'm very behind in meeting a lot of people and catching up on planes I've missed!
