This one really hurt. And I didnt even find out till late last night and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I knew he hadnt been doing well lately but this still was a shock.
Bobby was one of my favorite Yankees while growing up as a teenager in the late 60s/early 70s. Just a really classy guy and a pretty good ballplayer on top of that.
Ever since he was diagnosed with the brain tumor and all the way up to his passing Bobby conducted himself with class and grace and humor. As a cancer survivor myself I can find inspiration in his courage.
Just a great human being.
