British Airways Offers a 'Revolutionary' $1776 Business Class Fare
Fares From New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington and Atlanta From $1776

NEW YORK, July 2, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Celebrating the Independence Day holiday, British Airways has launched a special $1776 Club World (business class) fare from the colonies to London, giving travellers the chance to visit and delight in London's history, culture and history.

This special roundtrip fare is available from New York (JFK or Newark), Boston, Philadelphia, Washington Dulles, Baltimore and Atlanta to London, with comparable fares available from all British Airways' U.S. gateway cities. Travel is valid for purchase from today through Sunday midnight (EDT), Jul. 6 for travel through December 31, 2008.

As part of this offer, British Airways is offering free room upgrades from select four and five star hotels, including Kensington House, Chesterfield Mayfair, Grosvenor House, Park Lane and The Ritz.

Customers flying in Club World will experience the airline's award-winning business class for less. The airline is currently rolling out its new Club World cabin across the long haul fleet. As well as the 6ft fully flat beds, the cabin also features the Club Kitchen and on demand flight entertainment system.

American visitors can experience how life could have been by watching the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, taking a tour through London on a double decker bus, hearing Big Ben, and relaxing in Trafalgar Square (including a statue of George Washington on U.S. soil).

Roundtrip fares must be booked and purchased 21 days in advance and cancellation and change fees apply. Fares may be higher for other travel dates and from other U.S. departure gateways. Weekend (Thursday-Sunday) surcharge applies at $30 each way. Fares are subject to government approval and do not include government fees and taxes from approximately $265 and a $2.50 September 11 Security Fee. Minimum stay of Saturday night is required and maximum stay is 11 months. The upgraded room must be booked at time of purchase to receive the free room upgrade. Other significant restrictions apply.
