I saw a photo from a few years ago of a FedEx A300 at SYR, but do they still get them on a regular basis?

I just wonder about a small airport like that, how the 767-300 that had an international departure there today () is such a rarity for them. I've seen other airports' staff get all excited, as if the visting 767 is the first A380.

They still get 757s from UPS, too?

A quick search on Flightaware reveals that SYR is still seeing Fed Ex A300 and UPS 757-200 aircraft on a daily basis. :)

BUF also gets FedEx A300s on a daily basis.

Back in the 70's AA actually ran their last ORD-SYR flight of the day and first back into ORD in the morning with a DC-10. Ditto for ROC and BUF, but back then AA had a large upstate NY presence including nonstops to all 3 from LGA with BAC-1-11's and later 727-23's.

Cheers

Yes, it's true. Those of us who live in the vicinity of these small airports get all jazzed when we get the occaisional widebody - guilty as charged! We also do silly things like take pictures of regional jets :-)
