Read the below thread on Anet, is it true that there was a fuel farm fire at JFK and refuelling was/is limited to tankers? That would seem to affect a ton of flights and passengers.

THERE IS A FIRE IN A TRANSFORMER AT BUILDING 269 AT JFK. FDNY IS IN THE PROCESS OF APPLYING PURPLE K ON THE TRANSFORMER. THERE ARE NO REPORTS OF INJURIES AS A RESULT OF THE FIRE, AND THERE ARE NO REPORTS OF DELAYS.

I believe this did affect a number of flights yesterday at JFK. A bunch of the European Flights were all being routed from JFK to Boston and Bangor for refueling.

I know that a Virgin Flight went to Boston for refueling before heading to London. They changed their flight plan about 3 times.

Also I heard a Swiss Flight file a flight plan for Bangor for refuel.

From what I could see it was a small fire.

Amazingly enough this did not affect my flight and I have the worst luck when it comes to delays and the like.
