NEW YORK (Reuters) - Boeing Co (BA.N: Quote, Profile, Research) took more orders and delivered more of its commercial planes in the first quarter compared with last year, signaling that a widely feared contraction in the jet market has not yet materialized.
But the U.S. plane maker, which last year outsold European rival Airbus, is expected to announce further delays on its new 787 Dreamliner in the next week or two, likely pushing the program almost more than a year beyond its original schedule.
