A spokesman for Harrisburg International Airport has said Colgan Air will discontinue flights between there and LaGuardia Airport as of April 6th. The service began this past September but failed to attract more than 25% to 30% load factors. Amtrak and Greyhound service to Harrisburg is probably more reliable and a lot cheaper.

This is the second time that this service has failed.

This route has always been a poor performer load wise, I was surprised it was restarted. Colgan is in the process of phasing out it's Beech 1900 fleet, US may want to use the Saabs flying LGA-MDT to replace Beechs in a stronger market. BTW their scheduled Beech 1900 service ends at LGA next month.

all the 1900s will be out of the US fleet by May this year. in general, US has been losing a lot of Colgan flying, the Saabs have ventured first to a paint shop and then made thier way to IAD on UAL's side of the house.
