Despite being embroiled in a corruption scandal and deep in debt, somehow Biman ordered $1.2 billion worth of new Boeings last week, 4 773s and 4 787s. If they ever actually take delivery they'll probably be back at JFK.

I believe the DC-10 thing was a one-time incident, although Biman decided to stop flying here after it happened...

But the FAA considers Bangladesh's airport authority to be out of compliance with international standards, so that might have some interesting implications if they want to start flying here again.
