Wow, looks like HBO has done it again, this John Adams mini-series looks good & it has some excellent actors.

Paul Giamatti is great & I am happy that he decided to work on a project like this, kind of funny that Tom Wilkinson (a Brit) is playing Ben Franklin, no problems with it, Tom Wilkinson is one hell of an actor.

I just added HBO again just for this miniseries. Paul Giamatti IMO is one of Hollywood's best actors. This should be a great series.

Just got done watching Part 1 and 2, simply fantastic! It really was outstanding. I'm looking forward to next weeks "Don't Tread on Me" episode.

I thought this only airs on March 19? Two parts came out already?!

I am EXTREMELY excited about this. I wonder how many people have actually read the book though. Huh?! haha

Part of me hates it when things that I love go mainstream.

I think the first two parts aired tonight. Despite Mike's reminder, and me thanking him for the reminder, I still forgot to watch it or record it. I'll watch the re-airing tomorrow I guess. :)

Yeah, this is definitely a DVD purchase to be made.

Critics are saying if this doesn't win many awards, that the awards must be fixed or something.

No HBO, so I guess I'll wait for the DVD release.

Paul Giamatti IMO is one of Hollywood's best actors.
Until reading reviews for this movie, I had no idea he is the son of the late Bart Giamatti, former MLB Commissioner.

It's pretty awesome. I've even learned some important life lessons:

- Don't get tarred and feathered
- Don't catch small pox
- Don't get hit in the leg by a cannonball

Amazing! And, from what I am seeing, it is encouraging me to do additional research, the relationship between Adams & Franklyn, is rather rough

If anyone wants to read books on the people or times of the revolution, I've got many suggestions and my library is full.

If anyone is interested, Amazon has a big DVD sale running. The John Adams mini-series DVDs are priced at $34.99. No sales tax (yet) and if you use their "Super Saver" shipping there is no shipping cost.

Looks like Circuit City & Best Buy have similar pricing, but I don't know about tax/shipping policies.

Amazon started charging tax on June 1st, unfortunately. Still a good deal with free shipping, thanks for the heads up.
