Not too much going on with the skies the way they were but here's a couple of quick edits. Also, it was a pleasure to meet Greg (flyguy1). Next time when it's warmer we'll chat more.

It was a real battle of wills against the sky. One minute it would be partly sunny, looking like it would clear up, and the next minute it would be just dark with some raindrops. As I took the Olympic shot, it was spitting raindrops. Wild wx today. The sky behind me at HoBe was quite amazing with a myriad of colors.

Kenny,

The shots of the South African are worthy!

Later!

Wow, sweet light on South African...

I know what you mean by the crazy weather...when I saw those clouds, I hauled ass out of work to get to the Promenade to get the sunset (with my new tripod)!

First SA shot is awesome Kenny - quite a difference to the hazy summer days :borat:

Thanks guys. Adam, I was watching the sunset wishing I'd have brought my tripod with me.

Kenny,

What time of day was it when you took those shots? I am thinking that now daylight savings is on I might be able to jet out to Firestone someday after work to get shots.

Take care,

Brian

Brian, the SA was the last shot I took and that was at around 1820. With good skies and some patience (TONS of B6 and DL departures), there's a lot of good catches to be had. And as the days get longer, I am very excited about evenings at HoBe and Bayswater. Hope this helped bro.

Nice shots Kenny, I was at Bayswater the evening before for a little bit with my girlfriend. I got Lufthansa and SAA as well and than they flipped to 31L and 22 departures.

Where do you guys spot in bayswater?
Right at the edge of the water. You get excellent views of 4R arrivals and 22R and 13R departures.

In Bayswater park? The nature thingy

I don't know what "nature thingy" you're talking about but it's the "park" at the end of Mott Ave. Just walk through the gate and follow the path to the concrete wall that separates you from the water.

Nice to meet you as well. It was damn cold, but there was def. some good action that night. Did you get a good shot of that Comair CR9 in special colors?

It didn't come out as good as I'd have liked. Damned wind! Maybe next time.
