JetBlue...okay...Spirit already nixed MacArthur and moved to LaGuardia a few years back.

I want to see AirTran at MacArthur. I think it would offer really nice service for Long Island.

My only concern...where in the terminal would they put these new carriers?

Didn't Ryanair express interest in ISP not too long ago?

They did however with SWF recent launch into finding European carriers they mentioned the airlines interested were low-cost and charter carriers which could suggest Ryanair. I think SWF is more of a Ryanair type airport then ISP.

You forget Airtran also dicthed ISP in favor of LGA as well. Sadly the town of Islip fairly much screwed the pooch when they pitched ISP to WN in the mid 90's. It took less than 4 years to find themselves with an all WN airport. Truly sad as pre WN we had more choices to more places. The only thing WN as brought is LAS nonstop.

My grandparents swear by Southworst but only because they were the only carrier flying the ISP-TPA or RSW run the last few years. Previous to that thery were strict USAir flyers.

Sounds like a sale at Macy's....half off, no this and that...how about buy one route get one for free? LOL Many years ago ISP had a great plan to expand the airport. They had a north terminal planned with a direct connection to the LIRR station and a terminal that made sense. While WN has been a boom to the airport and has made using the airport much easier it has limited choices.

I remember FL at ISP. I flew them from ISP-MCO. I also remember they caught someone smoking (pot maybe) in the lavatory of the Boeing 737.
