So does anyone else use a Blackberry here? Yesterday as some of you might know Blackberry service went down for four hours...I had no idea what to do with myself. I swear this little device has become so addictive. Its so strange to me that only 10 years ago it wasn't a big deal being so connected but today its our entire way of life. I by accident left my cell phone home today and I feel totally lost. Someone remind me of what we did before these devices?

I was wondering why my blackberries never updated when I left work! It was quite frustrating.

They are very addictive.

I believe we tied fishing line to tin cans lol. Hey, remember when the closest thing to a remote control was that cable box thing that only went to 30 channels? Egadz! How times have changed!

The first weekend after I left Newsday, I'm getting in the car, and realize the BB isn't on my belt. Took a minute before I realized I hadn't dropped it somewhere! There's a reason they call them "Crackberrys"!

Hell, remember when you had to get up and turn a dial  to change channels! Back then, we had 7 channels + UHF (remember that?). Hey, I remember a time (back right after they discovered electricity) when TV was in black & white!

That's why you got married and had kids so you can tell them to change the channel. :borat:

Wow and arranging the bunny ears to tune in?!?! I also vividly remember listening to KISS on my parents 8 track player. And I tell my much younger cousins about pre-historic times of life before cell phones and remotes and they're like WOW! Damn, I'm old!

It was bad enough when I would get up to go the bathroom or fridge and I would come back in the living room and my wife would have switched the channel to Telemundo or Univision but now my 16 month old daughter loves to play with the remote and although she is not a big crier like a lot of babies her age the minute I try and grab the remote from her its tear city.

A lot of times I just give up and don't even try and watch TV when the girls are home.

i didn't notice any drop in BB service, but mine has been acting wierd for a week now. i don't have a data plan from t-mobile, so all i have on my BB is phone and text. i've been debating it for a while now and think that i'll stick it out and not get the data. i don't want email on my phone... what i do want to is get a phone with intenet service that can actually support graphical radar images. now that i'm flying i want to have wx (both text and radar) with me at all time. that's what i find addicting.

i remember all the old school phones that used to be out. i didn't get my first cell until high school, and i have no idea what it was. if anyone knows any way of reporgraming motorola phones i would love to have this one back now that i'm with t-mobile:

On the shelf, next to the Depends, and behind the hearing aid batteries.

That way you can call the dispatcher and tell him the storm passed and he can get you takeoff clearance
