It made its second appearance tonight at EWR(I wasn't able to shoot it last time) before departing to PIT. I was told its just doing some station familiariztion now before it starts flying pax service.

OOOO I didn't know they were in service yet! Very nice looking. The Q400 is a fantastic plane to fly on, roomy, quiet, and smooth.

Except for when the gear fails on landing.

Thanks guys, from what I've been told Feb 4th will be when it starts service. Right now its just flying to all the possible destinations for ground crew familiarization. As far as routes, I've heard RDU, ALB, BUF, ROC, PIT, BDL, BWI, and theres a few more that are escaping me right now. Phil, let me know if you ever plan on coming over.

I'm booked on the Q400 from EWR to BTV in late July, early August, so you can add that to the destination list.

I have to say, that's a nice-looking plane for a turboprop...

Bill, great shot, is that a 29 departure ?

You can add ORF, GSO, and RDU to the list.

Cheers

Thanks Ron, it is indeed a 29 departure. They took off from the intersection of romeo, other wise it probably would have been too high for a decent shot.
