Shot this with Dave this morning. Had to pinch myself to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing.

Very nice shot Nick! We had one of them do a low approach when I was in Japan a few years ago, very loud!

Nice shot Nick, I thought you meant the other L10 that Dave's seen at LAS. This is a nice catch.

The RAF L1011's are here very frequently supporting joint US and British military exercises. Nice catch though!

Nice shot Nick. I do need that RAF L1011 in revised colors too. I can never get used to seeing the L1011

Thanks for all the kind words from all.

To answer why it's here I will check with Dave. The wx turned downright ugly after she came in and we left. The C-5 from Stewart was back again as well. It departed this morning.

Possibly Red Flag excercises at Nellis?

That's the smartest RAF scheme I've seen..ever!

You kidding? Don't let that pic fool you, we were fighting bad clouds all morning, in fact I finally got the Philly Eagles just before this shot was taken and it's a little dark, not sure if it's salvagable. I am just glad the 1R morning was cloud free but believe me we don't call Jason sunman for nothing. All in all I consider myself lucky I got some sun on this tristar.

Yes, Red Flag 08-2.1 is taking place from 1/14/2008 to 1/25/2008

caught a vc10 there, raf type back in '04, taking off in formation with 2 jaguars off of 25r while we were landing on 25left, those 4 conways spewing black, it was so loud that the roar was audible in our cockpit on short finals, now thats loud !
