I have to say that when a "cop" like this is left unattended, you're asking for it to be stolen.

Imagine something HAPPENED close to the car, and someone ran to the cop car pleading for help, only to find a dummy. The person will think he's hallucinating.

Good point. That would not be a good look for that police department. I wonder how many police departments do it. I know that the NYPD does a similar tactic. For a solid 3 weeks everytime I went past a spot on the Van Wyck as you get on the GCP there was a Highway division cruiser there. No cop in the car though because I slowed up to check a few times. A live survelence system should be in place at best.
