Okay, informal survey here...
1) Which model camera do you own?
2) How long have owned it?
3) How many pictures have you taken with it so far?
I'll start it off:
1) Rebel XTi
2) 13 months
3) 8545

Actually Fred I would like to hear yours. It's not a contest, I'm looking at camera reliability.
FYI:
For those Canon users who have no idea, take a picture and when viewing it on your LCD, hit the the Display button a few times. You will finally get an overlay that looks something like 117-8453. That would mean 117 photos on your current memory card, 8453 photos since you got it. I'm looking to see what the larger number is on your cameras.

I'm sure about the file system John. Mine reads right now 653-5384 but there are only 72 images on this card right now. At last check, there were just over 17,000 aviation only photos. Probably triple that with baby photos ;)

I guess if you go over 9999 it resets. I should have thought about that, DUH!

I am probably between 170k to 200k....NO JOKE!
80DVD's of archives and I do not want to go into disk by disk and see the count. Sorry, but that is LOTS of work to get an actual number.
Took another 200 in lowlight tonight with a goal of a 25% keeper rate....
