So more and more the TV show The Office so accurately reflects the personalities around my office, especially this week. I always love this week at work because it’s generally a somewhat laid back week, although this week has been a bit crazy for me. However the holidays really do bring out people's personality...My boss looks like a walking Christmas tree....she has Christmas ornaments hanging from every body part and this blinking LED necklace that if I watch it to long I might go into seizure. This one guy has been walking around with a mistletoe going up to everyone with it....girls and guys, and lastly there's food...lots and lots of food and some people think since its the Holidays its ok to stuff their face with 10 large chocolate chips cookies while carrying on a conversation with you. Yep it’s the Holidays at my office again the best gift is the entertainment some people provide around here. LOL

Same at my office, the holiday music is blasting and I am sitting in front of a table full holiday treats.

Happy Holidays

The tower has lights in it. Hanging from the windows, pointsetta plants all over the place, santa statues, and a real life santa after a bad shave. (Ron Peel!) :P

Can I tell you how hard it is to resist all of the gourmet gift baskets we've been receiving here?! It's HARD. I cut myself off after 3 days of "just a little bit" turned into "why don't my favorite jeans fit me right?!"

People around my office are actually pretty normal....no, not normal, but no less normal during the holidays than they are "normally." ;)

This has been hell week with food. Baskets every day, so far the lowest numbers in one day was 3.
I know I have put on at least 5 pounds this week, and I was TRYING to behave...but dark chocolate is my kryptonite, and aside from the 3 TOWERS of Hershey's that got delivered, we got a basket full of Ghiardelli today. I'm looking forward to a normal week soon.

oh and as for the people, one office all coordinated to wear red sweaters today, thankfully my group is a bit more normal than that. One lady was wearing reindeer antlers all day, and another a Santa hat (and she is Jewish!) Oy!

the thanksgiving/ xmas season is exactly why i really stop dieting/ working out from late nov through 1 january. though melly is right, i've already put on 5 pounds. recovering from my last knee injury set me back a long way, doctors had me on steriods for a while in itially. than coupled with sitting on my keister at work is making it hard.

side note, anyone know of a YMCA with a pool thats open for lap swimming late at night or early morning? the one in my neighborhood is only open for that mid-day.
