Since the anniversary of Pan Am's demise passed last week, I'd like to make you aware of a CD compilation of photos from Pan Am's history from 1927 - 1991 that is now offered by the Pan Am Historical Foundation ( PAHF - see http://www.panam.org for more info about it).

It contains over 800 images of every type of Pan Am aircraft, scanned at 200 dpi, mostly from original 8 x 10s that have been cleaned up with new captions for historical reference. For you NYC fans there are pics of the LGA Marine Air Terminal with the Boeing 314 when it really was a marine air terminal; there are many pictures of all the big boats, including interior shots. This is a true treasure trove for aviation buffs.

The CD also contains over 450 images of Pan Am people and places, including sections of Juan Trippe and Charles Lindbergh.

See samples at http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii25/jjluet/

All photos copyrighted by PAHF.

PAHF also has a CD made from the private photo collection of Capt. R.O.D. Sullivan, the famous flying boat captain who was the first officer on the China Clipper's first flight in 1935 and became PAA's chief pilot after Ed Musick was killed.

It's available for $30 from PAHF, which is non-profit, dedicated to keeping the memory alive. If you're interested, hit me offline and I'll refer you.

Yes, I heard about this and thought it was very interesting, not only for the photos, but for the cause as well.

Welcome to the site, John.
