Coincidentally, I visited the grave of the family of Juan Trippe, the founder of Pan Am last month. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery here in Brooklyn. The monument makes no mention that he founded Pan Am. Happily, the approach path for LaGuardia passes right over his grave; that would please him.

Wow! I had no idea. I don't remember the airline as I was born in 1990. I have done a lot of research on Pan Am and Eastern Airlines. They were really great role models for today's airlines (aside from ceasing operations).

Which may or may not be the best example today now HAHAHA

Makes me think of something Herb from SWA said to CO I believe where CO demanded SWA was doing it wrong and needed to do it CO's way, and Herb shot back and said "Oh ya if I did it your way I'd be in BK...TWICE!"

Anyway going back on topic, never saw the original PAN AM, but heard many great stories of flying on it!
