After almost 7 years of flying in the Peter Max scheme N77014 went into mx yesterday for a C-Check were he will be repainted into regular Continental colors.

Unfortunately I've never gotten a decent picture of her the 11 times of I spotted him.

It's a shame to see him go! :cry:

Yeah too bad, the only time I saw him was on a climb out in a Co737 to ORD.

I remember when I shot it I tracked its movments for a whole week and then made my move. Killed it on the first 777 that flew past me :)
Its to bad COA won't replace it with something just as snazzy.

I remember walking by a bunch of angry CO passengers at NRT and later saw it broken down at the gate back in October while I was boarding DL 56 back to Atlanta. :mrgreen:

Saw her twice. First time in Frankfurt back in 2005 (pictured below), and second time in March of this year at IAH. Picture at IAH was ruined by heat haze :(

I heard on the radio today that Peter Max will be making some personal appearances at a two malls in NJ this weekend.
Short Hills and Riverside Square Mall on Sat. at the Wentworth Galleries.

I also saw this beauty at EWR I believe in 2000. I took videos of her taxying around from a window at EWR. This was before 9-11. Now, I doubt if I'd be allowed to stand and take such videos. The aircraft was beautiful. I haven't visited EWR in years. In the "good old days", I got a private guided tour of the old Control Tower by a great guy. I recall his name was Alyosius Riley. That year, I was also permitted on the ramp area to take videos of a People Express B747.

Its a shame to see Max go back to its regular Continental colors, I was hoping to see if i could have got a decent shot of it sooner but I never had the time to visit Newark more. However, i did catch MAx landing towards runway 4R at Newark back in October, 2006. The shot wasnt as great as i hoped it would but I kept it anyway. Here she is landing at EWR rwy4R on 10/06.

I have never been able to catch a good shot of her. Seen her many times in and out of EWR.
