So my current plate of "ETOPS" is getting old. I've decided to start brainstorming for a new plate. I'd prefer it to be aviation-related and I've come up with a few so far.

737NG
VOR-DME
VOR-13L

I know Tommy has a vanity plate. Anyone else have one?

in all honesty, i don't know why someone would get one. first, they cost more. second, they make it easier to pick out your car. the only one i would ever get would be the registration of my airplane.

Not in Virginia. They cost about the same as a regular plate, which is why they're more common down there.

Mine would be N301TZ probably. I would choose 310, but 301 is "American Dream", killing two birds with one stone.

When I moved to Florida, I wanted to get JNB-ZA but it was already taken - haven't thought about another yet - although I used to love the name of the SURFN7 approach to PBI - I might go with that - it's obscure enough...LOL

LGA2SRQ was the one I wanted and one day I am in St. Armands circle cruiseing and I see a white Escalade with it. Boy was I heartbroken.

Mine would be N610DL, duh.

I can't think of any for someone I don't know personally....because it's kind of a personal thing. :)

I had EMSHWY for years but gave it up when I got my new truck as it would have been a major hassle at the time to roll it over.

When people would ask me wwhat it meant (those who didn't know better) I would answer:
"Every Minute Sucks Here With You"

Being a big Rush fan, I'd probably go with something like 2112YYZ. :borat:

never got EMT plates for myself, partly because i got into trouble for passing an accident in a car with MD plates. my father has MD plates, so that he can park in the ER lots at work. i was driving his car and passed an accident in an intersection. a NYPD officer was directing traffic and motioned me through the intersection, which incidently had a red light camera and caught me driving through the red light. not only did i have to go to court to fight the ticket but my father got a visit from detectives asking me why he didn't stop to offer assistance. of course the ticket shows the car going through the intersection, but it didn't show that an officer was telling me to move through it. took about three weeks to get it all sorted out.

When I was in elementary school, I thought I was really clever by coming up with V1ROT8 as a plate - and then I saw it a couple of years ago in the (old) employee lot at IAD.

As some of you may know, I am a former firefighter. In 1977, a year after I joined, I got a vanity plate, ART234, where the 234 was my badge number in the FD. I have had this plate now for 30 years, and plan on holding onto it for the forseeable future.
