ST. PETERSBURG, November 25 (Itar-Tass) -- A Boeing 777 of Air France has made an emergency landing at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg. No one is hurt.

The plane en route from Beijing to Paris had an engine failure, an airport source told Itar-Tass.

The 304 passengers are being accommodated at the airport to wait for a new plane from France.

what caused this, a flame out? bird strike? volcanic ash?

Not many birds at 35,000+ feet, nor am I aware of any volcanoes erupting in that area. Must have been run of the mill mechanical failure.
