anybody here knows stuff about bombardier's canadair regional jets?

i'm confused between crj200's and the like and crj90's, etc? is it maybe an abbreviation for crj900's? i've checked bombardier's site and all i got were stuff like crjXXX... no mention about crjXXC.

basically, all CRJs are a subtype of the candair CL-600 model.

the CRJ-100 and CRJ-200 are the same airplane, though a few minor differences do exist. they both carry 50 passengers. the main reason the -200 model was introduces was to add more efficient engines.
[airlinerstp://www.airliners.net/open.file/1296608/L/[/airlinersthe CRJ-701 and CRJ-705 seat between 72 and 78 pax, depending on what airline orderes them. the -701 model has the same cabin dimensions as the -200. the -705 airplanes use the same cabin from the -900 model which has been redesigned. the most dramatic difference is the placement of the windows, which are different between the two models. the -701/5 both have a forward cargo hold for pax's carry-on bags.
[airlinerstp://www.airliners.net/open.file/1051729/L/[/airlinersthe CRJ-900 is a 90-seater airplane. it was designed with the same basic ideas as the CRJ-200, but the fuselage was completely redone. as stated regardign the -705, the windows are in a much different position. the -900 also has two forward bellies for carry-ons.
[airlinerstp://www.airliners.net/open.file/1296662/L/[/airlinerslet me know if this helps. of course, the engines are different between the -100, -200, -700 and -900 models. avionics are pretty much the same AFAIK, i think they all use the Collins Pro Line 21 systems. different airlines will ahve different IDs for thier fleets. my company identifies them as CRJ (-200), CR7 (-700), and CRJ (-900). aside from my company, most have addopted shortening them to CR and then the first number of the model.
