I think its only a matter of time before US adds European cities to PHX and LAS as Parker stated. PHX is a logical choice and I'm sure the city will welcome such service. Las Vegas might not do all that well from a yield standpoint. Vegas's economy is already tanking as its one the cities most effected by the subprime mortgage collapse and there isn't large scale industry in the Valley. The other thing is LAS is one of the biggest cities where FF's drop their miles to fly for free. I'm betting on PHX over Vegas for European and Asian cities.

Excellent, the A330 and especially the -200 is selling quite well lately. Wonder what international routes they would contemplate from PHX and LAS, and if the -200 could do some Pacific routes from there in addition to Europe. I know NW has them on SFO to NRT. While it's true LAS is a leisure (and likely low yield) market, it's also emerging as a major global tourist destination and it would make sense for the hometown airline to offer some international service there. And maybe it's not even so low yield internationally, Maxjet seems to think there's some premium business for LAS-LON.
