I was northbound just in front of the office at 1012 this morning and she just took off southbound and in a low swope over me, slats extended, just a loud take off with the sounds corraled low to the ground by the clouds.

From my perspective it looked like a shuttle take off, just straight up. But that long smoky trail and the buffered sounds and energy was just an incredible way to start the morning.

Better than java in the morning! :borat:

I saw her land and taxi in this morning while driving to work. Nothing like the sound of those engines whistling in the cool morning air!

LOL.

I just heard another loud plane buzz our office. I love working near FRG in this increment weather. This low cloud blanket really does a great number on the acoustics.

Don't know if it departed yet, but an Air Canada A320 arrived around 4pm, bringing the Montreal Canadians in for tomorrow's game with the Islanders.

ILS 14 is about a half mile from my backyard. I love hearing the jets roaring in the
low clouds/fog. Sometimes you can just see the anti-collision lights in the clouds. Tonite I was
by Hicksville LIRR at 5:24 and one of the Cablevision 76s came in just under the ceiling, probably
6/700 feet towards their Bethpage pad. Looked very cool with their headlights shining off the
low clouds.
