I went to soundview for a few hours today to catch the Runway 22 arrivals. I dont think my shots came out as good as my other pictures because im still having a hard time getting a dark spot out of my pictures in which i cant see what it is on my lens. Here are my shots.

nice C-20! do you have an SLR? all your shots have the same spot in the same spot.

no its not an SLR. But like i said i cant see what it is on the lens. It shows when i zoom the camera. Other than that, Im not sure what it is.

I would say that you most definitely have dust on your sensor - not the lense. Or at least on the internal parts of the lense.

It is more rare on a non-slr camera but not impossible. I had a similar thing happen on a Sony P&S. I tried to get quotes to have the camera disassembled and cleaned but the estimate was in the $200-$250 range and nobody local wanted to touch it. I would have had to send it away.

In the end I just bought a new P&S instead.

Funny thing is that I later (months later) decided to try and take the thing apart and clean it myself and the spot had removed itself. Now I have 2 point and shoots!
