(WBZ) BOSTON A woman who walked into Logan International Airport allegedly wearing a fake bomb strapped to her chest was arrested at gunpoint Friday, officials said.

Star Simpson, 19, had a computer circuit board, wiring and a putty that later turned out to be Play-Doh in plain view over a black hooded sweatshirt she was wearing, said State Police Maj. Scott Pare, the commanding officer at the airport.

After a Massachusetts Port Authority official notified State Police about 8 a.m., troopers tracked Simpson down outside Terminal C, where they arrested her and later determined the device was a fake.

"She's extremely lucky she followed the instructions or deadly force would have been used," Pare told The Associated Press. "And she's lucky to be in a cell as opposed to the morgue." More... (http://wbztv.com/topstories/local_story_264104114.html)

I wonder what was going through this person's head. She's lucky the cops didn't light her up.

How stupid are these college students to think that something like is funny and they're not going to get arrested? I really believe that this generation of kids have no common sense, no sense of right and wrong, and no moral values. This country is SO in trouble!

Never mind arrested, if you're wearing something that looks like a bomb you should be shot, no questions asked.

you're right on that, but it's more than just the college kids that are running our country into the ground.

I hope they throw the book at her and she has to spend time in jail. You're punished for crying fire in a movie theatre, and the same should apply here. How can someone be so stupid!?

I might have read this wrong, but you guys seem to be talking as though this girl meant no harm, just because she's a student. Did I miss something?

How is it known she didn't plan on going to a terminal or shop and take people hostage. Fake bombs were used in MANY terrorist situations. Why does everyone here think it was a prank?

I think she's still a dip**** for doing it. Maybe she's buried her head in her books and doesn't follow what's going on in the world and thought that September 11, 2001 was a Speilberg movie! No common sense at all or showing any good judgement. What if a non-college kid or just a civillian pulled something like that? The public would demand the person's head (well maybe a Liberal wouldn't---the country failed the person---). They should throw the book at her! I don't know, maybe it does take a village......idiot to pull something like that.

She is one of these liberals whop sets out to tread the lines of the rules. She was smileing about it as if this is funny too. Throw the book at her and pull the bitch smack glove out.
