Since Habitat has her on thread I figured I should start a ship 610 thread. She overnighted in SAN tonight and will operate into JFK tomorrow, 8/31/07.

For August 31, 2007:

The final decision on Oceana will be made Tuesday. Better than 90% chance that she will be there. She would arrive NTU about 1700L on Thursday 9/6.

With the way DL is advertising and pushing it's new image including livery, I would think for a large public display they would try and send a new livery aircraft instead. just my two cents.

It is now confirmed. Ship 610 will be on static display at NTU. Should arrive Thursday 9/6 around 1700.

Using ship 610 has duel purpose. The interior exposes the public to the new IFE product, and the exterior demonstrates Delta's commitment to the community with its support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

As an FYI there is no such plane as the 757-200ER, it’s an unofficial name as Boeing never designated the Winglet equipped 757s as "Extended Range".

That's odd, Tommy, because Delta isn't the only airline who refers to them as "ERs" - BA does the exact same thing. The "ER" designation has nothing to do with winglets. The ex-TW/AA planes that they're taking up have a higher MTOW, slightly different cockpits, and longer range than the -232s - enough to warrant a different designation within the system and in maintenance/flight training. But I suppose all the experts at BA and DL are misinformed, eh? :idea:
