I think its very reasonable to ask Sikhs to remove turbans. If I have to take a cap off my head then everyone needs to do the same. Although in recent travels I always had my hat on while walking through the detectors. I guess this is changing?
On a side note, when a Sikh goes through customs/immigration, do they remove the turban? Theoretically one can smuggle contraband under one, no?
