JFK Today 8/27

I couldn't make it out on Saturday because of work so I decided to go out this morning to get Air India new colors and Virgin America. I failed on both of them due to thinking they would switch to the 4's because the winds were 040@11, but they stayed on the 31s til 15 mins after they both arrived. Oh well.

Bill, those shots are fantastic! The JetBlue/Avianca and JetBlue/Virgin shots in particular are some of the best JFK shots I have seen in quite some time.

That's what I'm talking about, Bill! Those are by far some of the best shots taken at JFK this summer and those shots of Jet Blue aircraft and two other heavies are just top notch and an incredible new type of shot from JFK!

You also did quite well with the banking today it seems!

Really nice shots Bill. I have got to get up early and try and catch that early AM Hobe banking action.




I went out later that day in the afternoon but had to battle some heat haze. But I did enjoy shooting raw and thank you guys that have given me advice over the years.

Mario, I was very close to you at several points there. I watched the Primaris come in, and saw what was certainly your vehicle and thinking "Man, I wonder if there's a photographer in there...that would be a nice plane to get landing."

I think they fly in every Monday at around 17:25 so I guess the 4th would be the last chance.
