It’s a nice round number, and looks pretty darn good from overhead, especially when several hundred Boeing employees are actually forming the numerals.

We just reached an amazing milestone – the 7,000th Boeing 737 order. And to mark the occasion employees on the program formed a giant “7,000” – spanning an area that was nearly the length of two airplanes.

That's the most out-of-proportion comma I've ever seen.

Big comma or not, that's quite a view.

I wonder if Boeing is planning anything for the imminent 1,000th 777 order.

I don't know why, but it seems like only a couple of months ago they celebrated the order of the 5,000th 737.

Could it be that the 737 is selling better than the Toyota Prius?

I think that was the delivery of the 5,000th 737 (to Southwest).

Umm, I think you mean 500.... Unless Southwest grew 4,500 airplanes overnight hahaha

No Matt..

He worded it right, Boeing did indeed deliver the 5,000th 737 to Southwest Airlines, it wasnt the 5,000th aircraft FOR SWA, it was simply just the 5,000th 737 for Boeing just being delivered TO SWA...

Get it now?

Oh ok, haha, I thought he said that WN had 5,000 737's haha. But yeah, I think they also celebrated the 500th 737 as well to WN, correct?

Yep...

Recently N281WN was the 500th aircraft FOR WN in terms of Delivery.

Now this brings the question did this include ONLY deliveries straight from Boeing, or leases, and -200's and non active aircrafts or ONLY active, because i do know we have 500 ACTIVE Aicrafts for us now.
