View Full Version : I Finally Caught A Diversion at SWF! + More

Today Matt Thaler and I were going to hit JFK but due to bad wx we decided to hang around Poughkeepsie for the day. Travolta was back to SWF and I know Matt wanted to see the 707 so we took a swing out to SWF for a better half of the afternoon. I had noticed on Flightaware that a Continental 757-200 from Oslo had come in at some point so I hoped it would still be there when we got there and I also hoped for some more diversions.

No luck with more diversions but the aircraft did depart just as we got to the airport. I found a great new spot to watch departure as long as lighting is not an issue.

Sorry to be the kill joy here but are six shots of the same plane with some being basically the same angle really necessary? It’s cool that you got a diversion but I think one or two shots from a different perspective would have catalogued the event just fine.

Where is the new spot? I only know the spot at the bottom of the hill near the State Police ramp.
