Come on, It is absolutley gorgeous out there. Due to the fact we are having one of our biggest events today which includes porterhouse followed by cigars and cordials into the night my day is shot but jeez is it clear and beautiful out there. No haze and some heavy just left runway 4 and did a perfect bank over us. Clear as anything. Anyone going out? For summer these are the best conditions you can hope for.

I almost went out to Bayswater today, but I thought better of it, since the winds weren't strong enough to make them stay on the 4s all day. I ended up spending a couple of hours at Planeview, which is a much shorter trip for me.

Pics to follow.

Before heading to the City for a photoshoot I took a slight detour for one shot this morning.

Awesome Eric, nice catch. I just got your voicemail Bill. Couldn't get out. Though we were poolside smoking fine cigars when a Korean 747 banked right in front of us. Looked like a 13R departure. Sun was so good at sundown. If i had my 400 I could have gotten it. What a day. Glad Eric made use of it. Won't see many in Aug like this.

Well, I was out a bit today, met a few NYC'ers, including Tom Turner and JZ1 (I think...)

I got a whole bunch, but have only edited a couple. Here they are:

Mounds and Cargo Plaza:

First off I have to say to Eric that, that Air India -200LR shot is absolutely gorgeous! The light is incredible! :D

Considering are stop off at JFK was not planned I did not have my 80-400mm lens with me but I was quite surprised how well my 70-120mm lens did.

I feel these are the only two worth posting:

Incredible shots you two!, How did you take photos at the Cargo Plaza and not get in trouble by sercurity?

They never said a word at all. But a TSA guy did show up to let his dog go for a tinkle, but he didn't even say anything.

How were the Mounds? I thought about heading out there after they switched to 22L, but last time, there was too much foliage on the Mound to get a decent angle.

(Also, I was wearing shorts and didn't want to get eaten by bugs.)

They were pretty good, but since I havn't been out there before, I don't know how they compared to before. I was in shorts and sandals actually, no ticks on me, not many bugs.

I guess this is worth sharing as well but the quality is no good:
