Drove to IAD

Went down today and was parked by the Exxon Station by the Fire Station and saw many good departures from RWY 1. However must say a very strange setup for an airport

Strange? :) Its plain as it gets. Forget about navigating around EWR withouth maps and GPS device in your car :)

Maybe that is what the problem is: that it is simple and not complicated as our airports up here !!!!!!!!!!! Driving back home ran into 2 good areas of t-storms and while driving on 95 between DCA/BWI drove through a bad microburs and/or tornado ??? by Laurel Md.

How the hell did you end up driving by Laurel MD going from IAD to NJ? :)

This is like driving from BWI to JFK via Allentown PA :)

Was going home via the airports acess rd to the 495 beltway saw extreme traffic going to 495 north took the left onto 66 and got lost in DC(passed the Pentagon and said oh boy im lost) looked for signs to 495 MD and wound up going through Chevy Chase to 495 them hit 95 north. No vis cause of the storms didnt help also(driving under IFR condistions)

From 66 I always go 395 north, through the tunnel under the city and then follow signs for 95, or if you are stopping at BWI take the Balt-Wash Parkway
