So today for lunch we decided to take an extra long lunch hour since no one is in the office and went to All American Burger on Montauk Highway in Massapequa. Oh man I'm telling you this is the best burger you'll ever have! 4 bucks gets you a juicy meaty burger, fries and drink! The place has been there since the 50s and has been in the same family since it opened. Sort of reminded me a bit of Inn and Out but even better. Great little place that still has a flair for good old American eats. Give it a try if you’re in the area.

All-American burger...wasn't that the place in the movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"?

Come-on man I was an Eastern Suffolk boy. Anything west of Connetquot Park was foreign to us. LOL

All American.... Probably the closest thing we can get to In-N-Out on the East coast - and its damn good. I've been going there since I was a little lad ;) And I think that theres a carvel next door which makes a great stop on fridays and saturdays in the summer....

Wait a minute. A burger and fries but no shake? Sacrilege! Tom, we must patronize the establishment again.

Now, get your buttocks over to Checkers... comparable, perhaps even better!

Better? Better my furry ass!

Judging my the crazy green frog, I'd speculate a frogs derrierre is somewhat smooth and shiny, moist perhaps, but not furry 8)

Tom.....Checkers....the fries.....they are calling you.

Defineately the best burger and fries combo on the planet. Get a shake, and a girl on skates and I could be in the 50's easily.

It's from all that high quality New York air I've been breathing over the years. And just so ya know...It ain't easy being green. :)

Hahahahahahaha! Astoria Man? Someone needs to introduce ATC to me. Last time I checked, I was a very identifiable woman. See http://nycaviation.com/aboutus and check out Melanie Rose.

It was a joke - we all make jokes. No harm done. :)

But seriously....a burger sounds good right about now. :-P

For burgers in your area, Astoria man ;), might I suggest Cronin and Flailin's? Order a burger and wash it down with a bottle of suds.

I LOVE how we're TRYING to keep this on-topic. ;)

Before I was distracted, I wanted to ask Tommy if he really thought this place was better than In-N-Out. I haven't had either, but I find that hard to believe after hearing all the hype!

Hey Astoria Man, have you ever considered contacting In-N-Out about you opening up a NYC one?? :)

Mel,

we'll work on a little All American outing after spotting one day. 25 mins from JFK. Having had both, I definitely prefer All-American(AA) over the In and Out

Also AA is a one and only. Was rumored to close but still holding on strong. And has the "true not been revamped since 1960" look.

Tom, AA should be an LI oddities ;)

Hey, just a thought, I was thinking of having a little get together at my place tomorrow, rain or shine.

BUT instead, maybe we can make it an All American outing in the evening? And there is a nice park nearby where we can hang.

Just a thought. ANy interest?

Your alone in that thinking. Go to the one at UNLV at lunch. The line is around the block.

My mom would take me there after school almost every Wednesday! The one on Hillside Ave in Williston Park still does it, but I don't think most others do.
