I was reminiceing on memorable flight experinces of mine through my life and I came across one thatstood out for several reasons. One was the close proximity to TWA flight 800's crash mixed with the fact that I saw that planes climb out and subsiquent demise from Amityville onthe water. The other irony was our flight number 801. I remeber dumping fuel off thecoatof Long island and seeing boats out on the Atlantic no doubt searching for parts from that fateful night a month prior. I also remeber clawing at the carpet in JFK's terminal as I fought with my aunt to not get back on another 727 that night.
