Anybody know if these planes are on display for photos? I like to check them out over the weekend at JFK. Thanks.

WHA? WHY?

It really sucks that Fleet Week events are so poorly publicized.

I took some time out and stayed for a bit. Saw two B1 bombers land as planned, but if there was a low pass of a fleet of B1s, I was not lucky enough to see it.

Why would the Air Force only spare 1 aircraft for the actual Jones Beach airshow but fly a "fleet" of B1s over JFK with zero publicity?

Two of 'em rolled past FRG, and continued to Jones Beach to practice.

From where they are parked, is it possible to get a good view of them?

Generally they park near the old Pan Am hangar which is blocked for the most part, so if you not on the ramp the only chance to get them is when they come in and out.

We guessed right, The two Bones did 4 passes each at the Beach.

There are two Bones because one is going to the Jones Beach show, and the other will be at the Millville show.

We were trying to decide if we wanted to go to JFK for their arrival or to the Beach, we lucked out with the 8 passes at the beach :)

Both of them departed on 13R this morning at 10am....screaming loudly during a slow climbout.

Yep, it was my wakeup call. I did not realize it was that early. I ended up on my roof when the second one came overhead. They had to be at about 2 grand when they crossed my house and my dog was hideing in my closet.

Couldn't help but recall concorde at JFK seeing those Bones this week.

The irony is them actually departing on 13R. Concorde was really discouraged from doing that in the later years.

Tom and Phil, that really puts it into perspective. Wish I'd see them.

Hope to see them in the future.
