Hi All.
A contact in Philadelphia told me today a Japanese plane was at the airport where the sports charters generally park. Said it was "small"
- meaning not a heavy.
No idea what he is talking about because he is not really into aircraft, but he certainly isn't a reg spotter so I am guessing he is not going by registration, so maybe something with titles?
Any ideas?

The first link of VP-BRT is Roustam Tariko's BBJ. I thought that sounded a little Japanese, but he's Russian.

Sorry for the late post on the topic, but Philadelphia + small + "Japanese" = MU-2 N1164F.

It's part of the whole Epps/Bankair/whatever empire, and is a frequent visitor to both PHL and BWI. In Philadelphia, it parks on the AirNet ramp, which is the one next to the one where the sports charters park.

Ah, Excellent Mateo.
I am sure that is exactly what he saw!
Thanks,
Tom

Yes, the MU-2 is what you saw. It's there quite often.

I know the MU-2 quite well... it used to fly the nightly Bankair flight loop from TEB-PHL 2-3 times a night until a few months back when Bankair ceased operations out of TEB

I usually always hear the same guy working comms for "Bankair 121". Sounds like he's Jamaican or West Indian.

Yeah, that guy is from somewhere in Africa, his name is Lange, he's super cool, and when they used to fly the Lear, he would let me snoop around the cockpit all the time and listen to the radios while he set up for the flight

Haha, nice. I figured you knew him. Pretty cool I know his name now. Amazing how small the world is... ;)
