I am looking to build a scaled down model of LGA in my basement and I am probably going to have to do the vast amount of the work from scratch. Is anyone here into that or do they have experince. I want to do it scale to Gemini Jets. I am also looking to maybe do one of SRQ which will be much e asier than LGA.

Have you ever seen the panorama of NYC at the Queens Museum. Probably the biggest scale model around. It may give you some ideas.

I'm just building a Herpa airport using the ground mat for 1:500 and all of the stuff they sell.

That place is great! I was with a small group that got to take a tour with the museum director a year or so ago. It's amazing the amount of detail that went into building it.

I love that place, haven't been there since I was little. I'm now inspired to go back.

When you make the model of LGA make sure there are a few holes in the roof so it leaks like the real thing.
