I'm not sure if I can post this here, but what the hell...

My girlfriend is kind of getting into planes now. She was asking if there's like a chart or picture that shows all the airplanes compared to each other. I've searched the web for hours and can't find anything. And a lot of the airline websites don't have size comparisons on their fleet charts anymore. Anyone know where to find them?

Thanks!

I have a little laminated pamphlet which is ideal for showing the difference between various airliners. It might not be perfect for size comparison, but if you're looking to teach someone, it's great.

I have an online version of it at hom on my computer. Let me know if you're interested and I'll email it to you when I get back to NY in a few days.

ACTUALLY....I have a little laminated pamphlet which is ideal for showing the difference between various airliners. Phil brought it back for me from Chicago last year when I first started getting into planes. :-P

We could probably post little tips and fun ways to remember how to ID certain planes here for her.

Has she joined the site? You should encourage her to do so. :)

Phil, that would be great! Thanks a lot!

I thought something like this would be available online, but I haven't found anything yet.

Actually, my girlfriend does know about this site, but she's not a member. I'm not sure I can convince her to go that far! lol

Its not the size of the plane that counts it how the pilot handles it....

Same here. :)

I bought a copy in D.C. at the Air and Space museum. I was with my god brother who came with my dad and I to spot at IAD and all I kept saying was how much I wanted to see the BMI A330-200. We didn't end up seeing it but I ended up giving the pamphlet to my god brother and while driving past EWR at night he pointed at a departing aircraft and said, "is that a BMI A330-200?"

Phil,

Would L-O-V-E to get a copy of this via e-mail! Also any websites devoted to such stuff for fledglings like moi.

Some airlines, like AC, have a fleet page on their web site with a comparison of their aircraft.

Can you share the website for this? I'm trying to compile a library of aircraft identification sites, etc. Thanks.

Mike,

Check this out, too: http://www.pilotshopusa.com/asp/product ... &PT_ID=all (http://www.pilotshopusa.com/asp/product.asp?product=1132&ph=search&keywords=spotter&recor=1&SearchFor=any&PT_ID=all)

This is the site for "The Pilot Shop" in Baldwin. I was there just the other day and saw a few of these pamphlets (for military a/c as well), so you can run by and pick one up. Excellent store!

Hey Brian,

Thanks for the lead. This looks a lot like what The Boeing Store is offering ... see earlier in this thread ... though the cover illustrations are different.

Possibility of different editions here, I wonder? Still I'll probably order both items to be sure. Many thanks.

Mike (shamrock838)

PS You mentioned their having military aircraft pamphlets as well?
