That's a little too close. You look at that and you think that something bad is bound to happen.

Neat post, Phil. I've always wondered "how low can they go", and this is the lowest I've seen. That guy crouching behild the fence has to have some sort of hearing damage after that!

there's one of a falcon 20 that just barely cleared the fence...

Here are a few, second one is by Art Brett. Same jet, different days, looks like this guy just likes low approaches!

So it that pilot a show off, or is he just pushing his luck?

Immediately after touch down, the guy standing behind the fence was seen running back to his hotel room to change his pants.

I'd call it pushing his luck, and hope that his boss doesn't see these pictures.

I was at SXM that day. I was having lunch at the hotel, and the plane came early, so i missed it.

This guy is defineately pushing his luck. At an airport with 7000 feet and a jet that only should need about 4500 feet to get it down and stopped there is no reason to touch down on the hashes

Sometime I think that cutting it close it cool, but this close, don't you think that one day they will hit the fence and cause a crash? Grab your camera, no obstructions!

And you know what will happen as soon as a crash happens... no more beach and no more planes. They will close the beach off to the public.

When I was in SXM in August the lowest landing was an American Eagle ATR-72.

However this beauty wasn't so high herself...

When you compare the KLM 747-400 landing shot that my father took vs. the KLM landing shot on jetphotos you can really tell how low that landing was!

Air France and Corsair chose not to ride the fence that day. :(

That bizjet does that all the time apparently. I have a video of it landing on my computer at home. He apparently reaches the low altitude way out and coasts in at 15 feet off sea level.

the z44 just seems lower must be the size and the angle of the shot

He is just riding ground effect. I assume he did not allow for any bleed in air speed otherwise he would develop a sink rate and than it is splash or crash. He is just on a boobie hunt or a avid a net fan that is all.

It seems like he is really pushing the limits (especially for a public place). If he is looking for women or is an a.net fan is fine, but it gives him no right to come so close to endangering lives, and in my opinion he is. All it takes if for one crash like this to happen and bye-bye Maho beach. Even though the pictures look cool, I think he taking things too far, or in this case, too low.

I agree.
