When coming in on Midwest the other day, the F/A siad that our aircraft would stop inthe alley and be tugged to the gate. We ended up just going right in anyway, but I assume this is because of jetblast created on the adjacent concourse behind the aircraft once it turns in, right?

Do some require it and not others?

Anyone have a gate diagram of the CTB?

Phil, exactly, jetblast is the concern. When I worked at JFK at terminal 7 (BA) all United arrivals into gate 12 had to be towed in, so as not to blow apart the TWA then jetBlue ramp. Too much ground equipment is kept in those "corners".

This is correct Phil. Like Matt said Delta does it and Spirit, FL as well as a few other carriers HAVE to at LGA due to Port regulations and common courtesey.

Yea DL 767s get pulled into the gate, at least on the east side of the DL terminal...

I had to be tugged in to a gate at CTB's B conforse on a Midwest flight as well, as well as Delta's Gate 1. Those were the only times I was tugged in.

Very true, I flew DL into LGA last year and our B-757 had to be towed into gate 1 at the DL terminal since it was a jetblast sensitive area.
