American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport
Offers
“History Under the Stars”

Many of the 2007 Jones Beach Airshow aircraft will be available for this first time ever night photography event!

The AAM at Republic Airport offers “History Under the Stars” to aviation and professional photographers selected following accreditation review. To be considered you must RSVP [email protected] by May 10, 2007 with your full name and links to published works (online or print). Security requirements mandate that only a modest number of photographers will be allowed on site after public viewing hours.

May 26, 2007 8:30 p.m. to Midnight, 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale, N.Y.

(This is not open to “point and shoot” cameras.)

Please note:
Each photographer must wear a high visibility t-shirt provided by the museum for safety. Anyone who violates safety instructions issued by museum ramp staff will be promptly ejected as this is a working airport, airshow aircraft are present, and strict security regulations will be in effect. For any additional questions please Email [email protected].
All photos posted from this event must give American Airpower Museum at Republic location credit.

For published works, can you please include links to you photos on Jetphotos.net and Airliners.net. Also list any magazines your work has been published in. Sorry Stuart.....I had to do it because space is very limited.

WOW, I have over a dozen entries in just a few hours....I have not
reviewed any of the requests as of yet but will need to close this to new
entries soon.... The photographers will be hand picked depending on
their request and review of their published work. I really wish I had more
spots for us but it is very late on a very busy weekend for the museum.

Do we need to have published works in order to be considered?

For those who are attending this event I wanted to know if you wanted to do a group dinner before hand? There's a great little place right up the road from FRG called Black Forest, its German food with Classic American choices as well, prices are also very fair. If anyone is interested lets say we'll meet at 6PM which should be more then enough time to eat and then we can head over to FRG as a group. Please post if you would like to attend.

Black Forest is also a brew pub with a fine selection of freshly brewed
beer.

I don't know whether or not I'll be able to make the dinner; I'll be going to the show at the beach that day with the girlfriend, staying a bit longer to make leaving bearable, and by the time I get her back up to the North Shore I'm not sure what time it'll be and whether I'd be able to make it over to the restaurant by 6. So, I might make it or might not; I want to, but it just might not be practical.

I'm still going through all mine, expect plenty more later. These were probably the best photos I've taken all week (no haze!! and they weren't moving or changing runways). I can't thank you enough Fred for setting this little shindig up for us. It was great to meet some of you others as well.

My favorite of them all
