Looks like ATA has taken Hobby off its schedule from LGA. I guess they didn't feed enough of WN's flights to make it pay off. I wonder if they'll keep the 733s. They got them specifically for the LGA-HOU run.

ATA has decided to return their 3 733's as they found having just 3 of a fleet type was not cost effective. 402 and 403 are going to Lithuanian Airlines, one in May and one in Sept, 401's fate is undecided at this time. They are dropping LGA-HOU as it is their lowest performing market. And not to disagree with Tommy but I don't know of them ever scheduling the 733 LGA-HOU. It's always been scheduled as a 738 although I have seen both the 752 and 753 operate it on equipment subs.

On a interesting side note their first ex NW DC-10-30 is being delivered to IND I believe this week after overhaul at SAT.

Ahh, so the Dc-10's are finally coming in, I might have to go out to IND and get some pictures then.

they are also phasing out the L-1011 with the DC-10 by this year

Actually, 3 of ATA's 4 L-1011s just came out of D-Check and are MX approved to fly for another 5 years. Don't surprised to see them in service for a while even after they take on the DC-10s.

Though an MX nightmare, they are in fact a cash cow for them, as military charters are extremely profitable, and witht he Global Aero Logistics takeover of World and NAA, the trio has the Air Mobility Command (AMC) market cornered. No other airline comes close, from my understanding.

Your understanding is correct. With the three of these AMC airlines under one owner, nobody else can put up numbers like they do.
