Daily Times in Pakistan Reports:

2 PIA planes collide

KARACHI: A PIA flight PK-366 operating on the Karachi-Islamabad route was delayed after its wing hit the tail of another Boeing 777-300 while it was being pushed back to take off for Islamabad. The tail of the other Boeing suffered minor damage and was towed to the hanger for repairs. The repair work will be completed Sunday, a PIA spokesman said Saturday. The Boeing 777-300 whose wing hit the tail of the other Boeing took off for Islamabad after some delay.

Staff report adds: While the first Boeing’s wing was lightly hit, the other’s auxiliary power unit (APU) was damaged. app

PIA must be having a tough time!

I wonder if this means we'll see the 747 on Sat's until the other bird is fixed?

Unless they route the flights through IST again I doubt it. Those 747s are banned from the EU.

This may sound like a dumb question but why are they banned?
