Some kooks staged a "Ban 50 Cent" protest outside the headquarters of Universal Music Group today and by using Al Sharpton's name (even though he wasn't there), actually got some news crews to show up (see Channel 2 hottie reporting (http://wcbstv.com/video/[email protected])). Fortunately that's the same building where I work and I got to see them up close.

We had a suicide at the school Thursday, which was originally thought to be a homicide, or as they put it "suspicious death." Classes were cancelled, two SWAT teams called in, the building in question locked down for hours and searched thouroughly. Since I am with the campus TV station, I was all over the place that day with my camera, hanging out with the media people and going to the press conferences. Turns out it was a former student who graduated in 2000, jumped from the 9th floor of the stairwell, found on the 4th...
