The new livery will be applied to an A330-200 that the airline is expected to take delivery of in April. I'm sure we will see her at JFK.

Not sure I like it...

I don't know - I think I like it better then the current look. At least it will be something new at JFK :)

I like the new scheme but I think ".com" titles in general are pretty lame.

I have thought that LTU needed a new scheme for a while, but that is certainly not the direction that they should be going in. I expected something more mature and subtle.

I have always wondered how an airline can justify going form something like this to what we see proposed by the airline. I have always wanted to sit as a fly on the wall in their marketing departments conference room and hear their rationalizations for finding a scheme like this acceptable.

Red and gray do not match. I don't care what anyone says.

Ah, the swoosh! How original.

Marketing Dept: "You need to brand your product to look like all the others..."

No matter what, I still think the old livery stands out more. Way too classic to simply abandon it. Also a slight modification might have done the trick. LTU's current livery ROCKS!

I agree with you.
If you have a winning model why change it dramatically.

LTU.COM.... DotCom..... has that real 2nd rate ring to it....

Hey, we're not an airline.. but we sell tickets.... we have a website...buy something...we're desperate.

You ever read or hear Google or Ebay mentioned on the news or the Financial page? "DOTCOM" is not even mentioned.

Ever live in a town or city with .COM at the end of it? Buy your food at a restaurant with .COM at the end of it? Go to a school with .COM in the name?

Marketing consultants and graphic designers run the show today in most businesses, I am sure they found this 'fresh,' 'young looking,' and 'internet friendly' and gave themselves all a pat on the back.

I can't believe that you folks like their current swcheme. Maybe if the colors MATCHED it would be better.

It matches in Germany maybe... :)

Seriously, it doesn't match, but its muted. We're not talking Southwest here... :)

But they d Match,
Grey (almost) a Neutral color :) Put it next to any color and it will not clash. Besides its a PLANE! :)....You have to have grey somewhere.
Its one of the last remaining old school looking schemes out there. It will be sad to see it go. Wether or not I like it Its better than most of this new trash we are seeing now put on planes. The worse old school scheme is much better than the best new colorschems out there...in my opinion.

Having some "protective gray" is one thing, but LTU's current scheme does notmatch.

Two color combos that people think match but do not:

- Red and gray

- Pink and black

Do not wear these colors.

First shot of the new livery: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1194779/L/

I was not impressed in the beginning but now I'm starting to like it. The forward fuselage looks way too dull but the tail design is more modern and gives the scheme a fresh look. NOW fix the boring front LTU!

She's still doing test flights in Toulouse but the race to get her here is on!

The tail seems reminiscent of TAP and some others to me.

LTU made few adjustments and in my opinion improvements to the new livery. It looks much better: http://www.skyliner-aviation.de/viewpho ... picid=3805 (http://www.skyliner-aviation.de/viewphoto.main?LC=nav2&picid=3805)

it just looks like they switched the colors to different positions, believe me, the world would end if American Airlines changes their livery

Well, then I guess we should prepare for the world to end sometime after 2011.

This new LTU livery is horrible, and possibly worse than Delta's.

Looks fresh and well revived and much better than the original rough draft. It will be tough to see less and less of the now old LTU livery however.

Just to add LTU is going through a rebranding after the recent take over by Air Berlin-they are also going to refresh their brand by changing their livery.

There are more chances now to catch the new colors at JFK during the week.

Leaving in the old colors:

D-ALPE

However today D-ALPE operated LT1550/1551.

No A330-300s have been painted yet.
